A Review of Load Frequency Control Schemes Deployed for Wind-Integrated Power Systems

Load frequency control (LFC) has recently gained importance due to the increasing integration of wind energy in contemporary power systems. Hence, several system models, techniques, and controllers have been developed improve efficiency, resilience, flexibility, economic feasibility LFC. Critical factors, such as systems, resources, optimization approaches, transient stability studied demonstrate uniqueness proposed design. This paper examines most recent advances LFC techniques for wind-based Moreover, use classical, artificial intelligence, model predictive control, sliding mode cascade controllers, other newly designed adopted area is thoroughly examined. Statistical analysis a comparison table are used evaluate advantages, disadvantages, applications various controllers. Finally, this presents comprehensive overview widely soft computing tools issue. detailed literature review will assist researchers overcoming gap between current progress, application, limitations, future developments
